Fishing at Pymatuning Reservoir

Straddling the border of Pennsylvania and Ohio, the Pymatuning Reservoir is a popular recreation spot. A warm-water fishery, the 17,088 acre reservoir offers a wide variety of fish. Species include walleye, muskellunge, perch, crappie, bluegill, carp and large- and small-mouth bass.

Fishing at Pymatuning Reservoir is permitted year-round with a license. If fishing on the lake, fishermen can use either a Pennsylvania or Ohio license. However, if fishing from the shore, the fishing license must be issued by whatever state the shore is located in.

If you plan to fish on the lake, there are several boat launches available, including an ADA accessible one in the Jamestown Marina and Manning Boat Launch. Motorboats must display either a Pennsylvania or Ohio boat registration. For non-powered boats, you will be required to display a registration from either state, a launching or mooring permit from Pennsylvania State Parks, and a launch use permit issued by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.

There are regulations for fishing at the Pymatuning Reservoir. Walleye, saugeye, bass, muskellunge, and tiger muskellunge are subject to size and daily limits. Other fish have no limits. If ice fishing, there are limits in regards to the size of the hole, as well as the number of fishing devices and hooks. It’s best to check with the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission before fishing as regulations are subject to change..

This Center includes the Liberty Bell, video presentations, Independence Hall and various other sites within the National Historical Park complex. Visiting Liberty Bell is free.

Normally admission is $12 but on Sunday’s you pay what you feel is fair and enjoy the Museum. Mann Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia presents the Philadelphia Orchestra in Fairmount Park. They offer a concert series throughout the Summer, with lawn seating starting at $10. Enjoy world class artist, enjoy the music and bring your own dinner.

Speaking of dinner, when you think Philly you think Philly Cheesesteak, one of the best sandwiches can be found in south Philly at Tony Luke’s, for $6 you won’t leave hungry. If you enjoy organic and fresh then head over to Reading Terminal Market, a Philly-sized farmers market, home to over 100 Vendors that showcase the traditional fresh produce, meat and cheeses. However, the foreign also find a home here, Amish food, ethnic specialties, pottery and jewelry and much more.
